Dumping SoulCalibur from the Japanese retail GD-ROM in my Japanese Dreamcast with DreamShell 4.0 and a DC SD Adapter V2 (which I kept calling "Card Reader" instead of "Adapter" : P), along with my save files from VMU.

I got the DreamShell 4.0 boot loader disc and the DC SD Adapter V2 from https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DPFCM9B (""XHSESA Practical SD Card Reader Adapter with CD for Sega Dreamcast Dreamshell V4.0 Game Machine Accessories"). They shipped from China; Amazon estimated 5-7 weeks to get to me in WA state, USA, but it was just 10 days.

To run DreamShell itself, you need to download the program, put it on a properly formatted SD card, and put that in the DC SD Adapter V2, which plugs into the port in the lower right corner of the back of the Dreamcast. You need the "DreamShell 4.0 RC 4 Boot Loader" download link at http://www.dc-swat.ru/page/dreamshell/ ; the contents of that archive go onto your SD card.

I used VMU Emulator -- https://segaretro.org/VMU_Explorer -- to get my dumped save files into Flycast.

This whole process worked! My own SC disc dumped and running on my desktop in widescreen HD. I'm still kind of amazed. = D
