15 — Demajen plays... | 3000th Duel (Soulsborne/Metroidvania)
3Important Note! This video was recorded with v1.0.1 of the game. Many of the critiques I’ve presented about combat have been fixed and/or tweaked with patch 1.0.2 from 8th January 2020 onwards, including hitboxes, boss balance, dash distance and more.
While I originally rated the game as a 6.5/10 (v1.0.1), I can now confidently bump that up to a solid 7.5/10 after 1.0.2's combat tweaks. Thumbs up and recommendation from me if you like Soulsborne/Metroidvania crossovers.
“3000th Duel" is an indie souls-like Metroidvania action game from Neopopcorn Corp that touts "speedy, exciting battles" as its selling point. The Metroidvania aspects are definitely all there; the battles against regular enemies are great; the bosses... well... I think they need some fixes.
