I was asked by a viewer if KOF '99 DC version in this compilation (also known as NEOGEO Online Collection v.7) has in-game move lists, and wanted to double-check so got out the ol JP PS2--and decided to check both "Dreamcast" and "NEOGEO" modes for '99, 2000, and 2001. Short version: the "Dreamcast" versions have move lists--but not in 2000's Practice mode : P!; the "NEOGEO" versions do not have move lists. I also looked at Practice mode VS CPU options for old times' sake. : P
0:00 - 99 DC
10:08 - 2000 DC
21:13 - 2001 DC
28:30 - 2000 DC (practice move list button combo? no)
32:01 - 99 NEOGEO
35:06 - 2000 NEOGEO
40:36 - 2001 NEOGEO
43:26 - NESTS options
The "DC" Practice modes of 2000 and 2001 let you do a "vs CPU" thing of endless 1-round matches if you want, with character switching at KO--2001's lets you set it so only the defeated character randomizes out. Not sure about the actual Dreamcast 2001, but in the Practice mode of actual Dreamcast 2000, there's no KOing, so no endless matches thing is possible there.
You can play as Zero in the 2000 "DC" version! = ooo
Yeah, '99 DC version's "Single All" mode looks to be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul4vnKnFvkI going through the full cast, with bosses at the end, in one-round matches. Unlike the "Survival" modes though, you can continue.
Yeah, NO button mapping in the NEOGEO modes (had that in my notes on the JP PS3 PS2 Classics version of NESTS Compilation : P).
(And yeah NO move lists in the actual DC game of KOF 2000, either arcade or Practice modes.)
