984Join me as I restore, speed build and review the 2001 LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle 4709, a classic, or some may say, vintage Harry Potter set based on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone with 9 minifigures: Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Albus Dumbledore, Rubeus Hagrid, Peeves the Poltergeist, Severus Snape, Gryffindor Knight, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. LEGO Harry Potter 4709 Hogwarts Castle is a 682 piece set recreating The Great Hall, Gryffindor Tower and Hogwarts Boathouse in LEGO and is the very first LEGO Hogwarts Castle ever made.

4709 Hogwarts Castle from LEGO Harry Potter was released in 2001 and has become a sought-after classic LEGO Harry Potter set. After cleaning this 20 year old LEGO set, I complete a 90 second speed build and provide an in-depth review of the fabulous Hogwarts, home to Peeves the Poltergeist and all manner of secrets and surprises.
The 4709 Hogwarts set includes a boat for ferrying first year students to The Great Hall for the sorting ceremony and a boathouse. The Great Hall is suitably impressive and includes a house table, holographic chocolate frog card and Dumbledore's chair. Also within The Great Hall, we find a fireplace complete with hiding place for Peeves and some rare elements.
The LEGO Gryffindor Tower included with 4709 Hogwarts Castle is tall and visually impressive. To gain entry to Gryffindor's common room, students must give the correct password to the portrait of the fat lady before coming face-to-face with the Gryffindor Knight Statue which hides a haunting secret.
As well as a detailed review of 4709 Hogwarts Castle from LEGO Harry Potter, we also take a close look at each of the classic yellow-faced minifigures including an unusual glow-in-the-dark Severus Snape.
