When motion gaming was huge on the Wii, Microsoft pushed the Kinect hard on the Xbox 360. Its hands free approach stood out against the Wii and PlayStation Move and proved to be pretty popular for the time. But when the Xbox One rolled around, the Kinect turned into an unnecessary (and forced) accessory.
