After some convincing from the captured Abel the dorm kids learned the whereabouts of their kidnapped friends: a large and fortified boat surrounded by Lily's bandits. Geting aboard would require several sabotages to their supply line, from freeing horses to destroying supplies. To achieve this the dorm kids needed a distraction of sufficient size.

Clementing met with James, beseeching him to use the walkers as cover while she and the other dorm kids snuck aboard the ship. He wouldn't agree until she learned what it meant to be a Whisperer. With some trepidation Clementine donned James' zombie mask and made her way through their midst, and though the experience didn't change Clementine's mind about the walkers' nature James honored his word to unleash a horde upon the vessel.

The kids' plan was foolproof as a mass of walkers swarmed the boat. Lily's crew fired desperately into their midst, unaware of the sentient danger lurking among the unliving, and Clementine and the teens managed to get aboard the vessel. They snuck their way through the holds, ensuring Lily's goons wouldn't be a problem along the way, until a face from Violet's past stood before them. Minnie, Tennessee's 'sister' and Violet's friend barred Clementine's way to her friends, but after a tense standoff and words from her brother Minnie allowed them to pass...

Only to ambush Clementine, AJ, and Violet from behind! The rescuers joined their friends and learned of the horrific treatment they'd endured, especially Louis whose tongue had been removed, the blood still staining his chin and jaw. This was Clementine's last straw and when Lily confronted her and AJ, intent on maiming their friends as punishment, AJ attacked. Lily, impressed by the boy's viciousness and loyalty, took him aside.

A panicked Clementine used all her tools and wits to free herself and her friends and fought to the deck. There they confronted Lily and, after a brutal struggle, she was disarmed. Lily begged for mercy, the same that Clementine's friends had asked for, and she found none. No sooner did AJ fire the bullet than a bomb planted aboard the ship...blew up...
