The Emergency Services in Scotland series documents the work of the emergency services and beyond, with dashcam and phone clips! In this episode: this week, a major fire broke out the the Old Victoria Hospital - a disused hospital in Edinburgh. A Level 3 incident was declared, and 9 pumps, plus many specialist teams attended. 0:19 - The skies near the hospital are darkened with smoke. This is the view approx. 1.5 miles away.
0:25 - An (unrelated) ambulance passes the fire on the way to the Western General Hospital. As we get to the roundabout, a pump and Command Support Unit from Bo'ness arrive.
1:52 - SK02 SMV - Volvo - Bo'ness's Incident Command Unit follows the pump up towards the fire - bit of a crap video as I couldn't go through the gate.
1:55 - SN09 BKO & SN11 EGU - Crew Toll's Prime Mover and Pump make to the scene after a delay (they were the closest station to the fire, but took over 100 minutes for them to get there)
2:23 - MX09 KRF - Iveco Daily - McDonald Road's DIM van arriving on the scene on blues.
2:47 - Another pump arriving on scene, taking directions from the commanders.
3:09 - SN06 FYJ - Scania - South Queensferry's retained pump heads into the site of the fire, as an Audi officer's car arrives, followed by the DIM van heading on site.
4:00 - Volvo officers car arriving.
4:22 - SN64 UAO - Sighthill's first pump arriving on scene.
4:42 - Another Audi Officer car arriving on the Scene
4:59 - A Fire car also arriving on scene
5:06 - SK16 BYP - Toyota Hilux - Ambulance SORT (Special Operations Response Team) arriving at speed.
5:26 - SF14 LGA - Mitsubishi Shogun - Unrelated to the Fire, a police ARV responds past the scene.

6:28 - With the Hydrant some distance away, hoses had to be taken from the main road, into an intermediary pump, then on to the fire itself. Police were stopping anyone trying to get into the site of the fire.
