999: 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors Review
This is my personal review for 999(9 Hours, 9 Persons 9 doors). I've had the pleasure of getting the ds game called 9 hours, 9 persons, and 9 doors(which I will abbreviate to 999 from now on) from the local gamestop store. Now, I've heard about this game and how people say it's a pretty darn good game, well as much as a visual novel can be called a game. So I decided to take the plunge and buy it when I saw it on display on the ds/3ds display case. And Now that I've played through it, I can honestly say that the game has left quite an impression on me. Now, if that impression is a good thing or a bad thing. Well, we'll find out when we begin this review. Well anyway, without further interruption, let's finally begin this review. 999(9 hours, 9 persons, 9 doors) is technically an adventure game that was developed by Chunsoft and published by Spike in Japan and Aksys Games in North America. This game is available for the Nintendo DS.
Platform: Nintendo DS
Developer: Chunsoft
Publisher: Aksys Games (North America)
Spike(Japan)

Pros:
- Enthralling Suspenseful Storyline with great twists along with great characters
- Great sound design
- fun puzzles
Cons:
- Slow Text
- Controls for rotating items when examining is a bit awkward
- repeating puzzles
Summary:
Overall, I think 999 is a game that's worth getting. The visuals are nice for what they are, the audio presentation is simply fantastic with the haunting soundtrack and creepy sound effect that really adds to the tone of the game, the story itself is enthralling with it having a pretty interesting premise that draw me in, a tense and sometime creepy atmosphere that really immersed me into the story itself, and the story itself was pretty interesting as I didn't know where it was going to go (in a good way) with both the clever twists that's in the narrative and the mystery in the game bering pretty good. . The characters were great as well with them being both really interesting and being written very well. With Zero possibly being the most interesting character in the game. The puzzles themselves were also pretty fun to go through. There are a few flaws in 999 like the slow text speed, the awkward control when you are trying to examine an item, but I still recommend people to play through the game if only for the story.
