A Portable Xbox, Nintendo Commits To The Switch & Jim Carrey Returns To Sonic!
233This week in retro gaming, a portable Xbox is rumoured to be in early development, however specific details about what form it will take or what it will be capable of remain a total mystery at this stage.
Shuntaro Furukawa; the president of Nintendo, has stated that the company's focus will remain on the Switch for 2024, implying that a potential new console won't release until 2025. However, I suspect that we could see a late 2024 release date considering that they'd probably want a new system to come out close to the holidays.
It's also been announced that Jim Carrey will be sporting his signature moustache once again as he returns to the role of Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 3! It was all a bit up in the air as to whether he would be returning for a while, but I'm happy with this news because I don't think the series would be quite the same without him.
