I'm learning lots of new words and puns from doing this, at the same time as my brother is first playing these games (also in French).
The numbering format is GameEpisodeChapter here, because Investigations doesn't use a day system (Turnabout Ablaze constitutes 151 to 157, for example).
There is no complete patch for Investigations 2 in French, so I got the entire Evidence and Profiles sections, DeepL translated them, and manually changed names and specific terms to what they are in the in-progress fan translation.

A théière is a teapot.
Encadrement is a frame.
An equisse is a sketch.
An animal "en peluche" is a stuffed animal.
An imperméable is a raincoat.
A serrure is a padlock
A montgolfière is a hot air balloon.
As for the names:
* Li-Hon Wang is a direct transliteration
* Lara Porteuz is "la reporteuse", the reporter
* Carl Vallier is "chevalier", horseman
* Boris Latour contains "la tour", the knight, not sure about the Boris part
* Not sure about Maxime, but Fisher is like a more passive hunter (like Shields being more passive than Edgeworth)
* Tristan Cage is triste (sad) in a cage
* Justine is now Égal (egalitarian) instead of court-related
* Larchet is possibly a reference to John Francis Larchet (like Sebastian being Johann Sebastian Bach)
* Mira Vexel? Not sure. Possibly like veillée (vigil), like how Patricia Roland is "patrol".
* Not sure about Hermann, but Daub sounds like "dog"?
* Eugenio Furno is Italian (like a genius of the furnace?). They call him "Le Génie" instead of Master Jeff.
* Douglas Bellard contains "glas" (glace, ice), much like Isaac Dover being "iced over"
* Instead of a catering hall, we get a name in reference to modernity (Maud Ernité)
* Vincent Legoud contains similar stomach-sounding "g" words as Dane Gustavia
* Adelle Icyous is delicious still
* Anais Stezy is like anaesthesia
* Julie Genet is possibly like "jeune" (young?)
* Not sure about Nicole Ombellay
* Same goes for Manny (maybe it's like little Manfred, because that's more or less what Blaise is?)
* Aurélien Tussend is possibly like "auroch" (ancient cow-like creature)?
* Alain Cognito is obviously "incognito"
* Louie Stiti is "l'ouistiti", as in, the marmoset.
