(Build guide and Path of Building link in description)

At the tail end of Path of Exile 3.2's Bestiary league, we're getting a Flashback league. This league brings back 11 different league mechanics to ensure fast progression under increased danger. I'll be playing a Necromancer Summoner build that uses the new Summon Phantasm on Kill support gem, combined with a summoner build that summons 4 other kinds of minions that each summon their phantasms on kill. Playtesting some build variations showed that it had good offensive power, but my early ideas lacked survivability. This let's play series will focus on a tankier version of the build to try and remedy that. Because it's a short league, I'll do this on hardcore for increased excitement!

*Flashback League mods*

Bestiary is always on.

For each area, an hourly rotation will get three additional mods drawn from:

- Abyss (1 extra Abyss)
- Ambush (2 extra Strongboxes)
- Anarchy (2 extra Rogue exiles)
- Beyond (DEMONS!)
- Bloodlines (3 Magic Monster packs with Bloodlines)
- Breach (1 extra Breache)
- Harbinger (2 extra Harbingers)
- Invasion (2 extra Invasion bosses)
- Nemesis (3 Rare monster packs with Nemesis mods)
- Perandus (2 extra Perandus Chest and 33% chance to spawn Cadiro)
- Torment (3 extra Tormented Spirits)

Possible nice combos:

- Beyond + (Ambush, Breach, Harbinger, Perandus, Abyss) = spawn lots of mobs to turn into demons
- Torment + (Nemesis, Anarchy, Invasion) = best chance to get ghosts to possess things
- Bloodlines + Nemesis + (Abyss, Harbinger, Breach, Beyond) = maximise map drops
- Anarchy + Invasion + Perandus = maximise unique mobs per area for item drops with +2 item level

*Skills*

All summon skills are linked with Summon Phantasm on Kill, other skills are either for survivability or utility.

* Body: Raise Zombie + Raise Spectre + Summon Phantasm on Kill + Minion Damage + Minion Life
* Helmet: Summon Raging Spirit + Summon Phantasm on Kill + Minion Damage + Minion Speed
* Boots: Summon Skeleton + Spell Totem + Summon Phantasm on Kill + Minion Damage
* Gloves: Cast when Damage Taken (lvl 1) + Immortal Call (lvl 1) + Bone Offering (lvl 8) + Convocation (lvl 5)

Utility skills to spread over the remaining sockets

* Enfeeble + Blasphemy (alternative: Vaal Discipline and Arctic Armour)
* Discipline
* Flame Dash
* Desecrate
* Stone Golem

*Items*

This build will use Armour/ES armour, and usually goes for the "default" setup of: life roll, % increased armour/es, resists. Jewelry is for attributes, resists, life. Bonus stats: ES and mana/mana regen.
To benefit defense, this build uses a shield and a wand with implicit cast speed, or any other useful caster weapon. All you do is summon minions and raging spirits, so cast speed is the only useful "offensive" stat.

Uniques to look for / blood craft:

* Bones of Ullr: level 22 boots that grant +1 spectre and +1 zombie
* Sidhebreath: level 1 amulet that boosts minions and gives some minor stats
* Helmet: look for a +1 or +2 to minion gems, or craft it
* Violent Dead jewel: it's a quest reward in act 5, so pick it.

*Crafting*

* Life flask of Animation: any rarity life flask + transmute + any rarity bone spirit shield (ilvl 15+)
* Helmet of +1 minions: life flask of animation + magic helmet + alt
* Wand with +1 fire: any rarity ruby ring + magic wand/sceptre + alt

I record Let's Play video game series about Action RPGs and strategy games. I love simulation and programming games as well, though they play a smaller part on my channel. I'm an analytical player, so my playthrough will be filled with English commentary analyzing the game, comparing and contrasting it with others, and trying to understand the mechanics behind the game. If you are a developer, feel free to reach out if you want me to look at your game!
