Yes, in the JP version, this guy is actually the Devil. The Angel you play as is sent by God and the statue is, well, God. Why they changed it to "Master" and the like, it's (I guess) due to religion. Oh well.
Side-note: Used Infinite HP cheat to fight this guy mainly due to lazyness.
So, what's our strategy? Well, he's got two forms.
First form: Some random fire balls comes down. No biggie. You can't harm him unless he's in his solid form, however. He's only that on the ground, though...
Second form: That's his REAL form and it's a generic pain in the ass. To defeat it, you'll have to hurt the sphere in his stomach. That's bad news right there. Add the fact he's got about twice the amount you can have (48 in other words) and you're in for one helluva fun fight.
Magic is USELESS against this guy so don't bother using it.
You also get (permanently) in this battle the Air Sword upgrade (remember it from my Stage 3, Act 1 boss? Yeah, it's back) which is freaking awesome.
Congratiulations, you've passed ActRaiser and played as God!
Pat yourself on the back, take a drink, a hot stud/a hot chick and watch the ending.
