4Adventure island was released on the NES as a re-skinned port of sega's arcade hit Wonder Boy .
Despite the lack of creativity and variety , this side-scrolling platformer can offer plenty of fun.
Furthermore, Adventure Island is one of the hardest platformers on the NES, it is one of those challenging games in which you have to memorize the levels perfectly in order to beat them .
For fans of difficult platformers , Adventure island is definitely worth checking out .
