Down the road from the mountain, another ex-volcanic cone is now part of the tidal system. While mangrove mud is not exactly photogenic in itself, the area becomes favoured with wading birds, providing a lively soundtrack to the walk. Also apparently home to a small population of chickens, which from my times playing Zelda games, I know not to mess with.
