In this guide I'll give you the ultimate guide to complete the tempering trials in FF7 Rebirth in Dynamic Difficulty. Here we go over party compositions, gear, materias, strategy for each of the tempering trials and more!

There is one materia that I'd recommend you craft to complete our summon-killing build and for you to have an easy time with these challenging fights. And this is the Limit Siphon Materia, crafted with 40 Data Points from the Gongaga Region. This allows your character to chug all of your ally's limit gauge to fill your own. You can use it as many times as you like and works best if you pair it with Cloud who has a devastating level 3 Limit Break. This goes in line with my go-to party composition. It doesn't matter if we're talking about the armor-tempering battles or Gilgamesh itself, my party composition was always the next: For damage boosting we got Tifa, Barret is the Healer, and Cloud is the slayer.

The order I recommend to attempt these is the following: Kujata and Phoenix, Odin and Alexander, and finally, Bahamut and Titan.

Now, some general tips that apply to all of the fights:
First of all, the HP on your party. Use the overcharge to quickly fill your ATB bar and cast Curaga with Magnify to bring back everyone to top shape.
Second: Practice your 300% stagger with Tifa to ensure that you're making the most out of the damage windows while the enemies are staggered.
Third: Use Cloud's Limit Siphon ability to fill your limit break bar to constantly unleash your limit break on the weakest Summon ( and help pressure it very easily.

Now, up to the first fight: Kujata and Phoenix. You need to focus on Kujata because Phoenix is immune to any attack as long as Kujata is alive. So focus all your damage against the elemental doggie, when you defeat him Phoenix will revive it, and after defeating Kujata for the second time, Phoenix will be vulnerable to all incoming damage and the fight will be over in no time.

After completing the Kujata and Phoenix fight there's an extra materia that you will need to craft with Chadley that I want to talk about and this is the Limit Support Materia.

For the second fight: Odin and Alexander.

This fight is interesting because there's a lot of back and forth with everything that's going on here. The common mistake here would be to focus on Alexander because he's the weakest Summon, but instead, we're going to pull all the stops on Odin while ignoring Alexander. Use Debrave, Defaith, weapon abilities, and limit breaks to prevent him from using his ultimate ability. After you get to a certain damage threshold he will vanish, leaving Alexander alone. Use this time to damage both Alexander's arms with lightning damage and prepare for the stagger phase. Staggering him before he unleashes his ultimate attack is important but not critical, as it is easy to survive that, but here's a detail that you have to pay a lot of attention to: if you can't do enough damage during the stagger phase to bring him almost down, and then finish him off before Odin returns, then, you might fall into a trap, where you keep pushing for the kill and ignore Odin who will sound the Gjallarhorn and defeat the whole party in one blow. If Alexander is alive as soon as Odin comes back, ignore Alexander as you did at the beginning of the fight and wait until you stagger Odin to go back and finish Alexander off. Finally, when you're only against Odin, seal the deal and victory will be yours.

Finally, the Bahamut and Titan fight:
This fight looks more intimidating than it actually is in practice. The strategy here is to focus on getting rid of Titan and when that's done, go against Bahamut. Both of them will be covered with a weird aura that grants them buffs. Use your weapon abilities on Titan's aura to pressure him. Once the aura is gone it will not grow back. Use wind magic against him for some good elemental damage until you can stagger him and finish him. Then, the rest is just to focus on Bahamut. The only detail you need to be careful about is when it starts charging. Deal damage to the wings so you can cripple them to avoid Bahamut going into overdrive. Just remember to rely on your limit siphon to pressure the summon and deal heavy damage and the fight will be over in no time.
