Want a real time strategy game during the middle ages where the levels of thatch are actually appropriate? Then check out this Cheapness affordable gaming review of ANCESTORS LEGACY [Episode 33]!

This review delves into the real time strategy game Ancestors Legacy by Destructive Creations and published by Fulgrum Publishing. The review shows that the game has impressive (If dark) visuals with cinematic touches and some impressive throat singing. And the game strips down the resource management elements of the genre and focuses on the combat by taking the familiar RTS movement and combat and adding some Total War-like elements like flanking to decrease enemy morale. A great RTS that I believe is kind of a modern take on Age of Empires 2 or at least reminds me thereof with the UI, upgrades and unit selection neatly fitting in twelve squares! Has great value for money (If it is taxing to run) and if that price is an issue the game has a free online multiplayer-only version (The peasant edition) for those who like online multiplayer and no commitment test-drives!
