Anto RetroGamer Quick Plays: GG Portrait Pai Chan ✔
Anto RetroGamer Quick Plays: GG Portrait Pai Chan, released exclusively in Japan, only for the SEGA Game Gear. Developed and published by SEGA in 1996, GG Portrait Pai Chan is one of two games in the GG Portrait series, the only being GG Portrait Yuuki Akira, and plays very much the same way. The GG Portrait series has it's similarities to the CG Portrait series on the SEGA Saturn, based around the same franchise.

GG Portrait Pai Chan for the SEGA Game Gear is a spin-off game based of the Virtua Fighters Kids arcade game, which itself is a spin-off from the Virtua Fighters series. As the title suggests, it's based around the character Pai Chan, depicted from the Virtua Fighters Kids games. This is less of a game, and more of a prequel of sorts to the character itself, rather then a fully-fledged Virtua Fighter game based around a specific character.
GG Portrait Pai Chan is essentially a collection of interactive pictures that lasts under seven minutes. YES! This is basically a longplay! Performing the correct actions with either the 1 and/or 2 buttons have some minor effects that change the 'game' accordingly, but has minor differences on the final scene (I couldn't get to work somehow...). In other words, anyone can 'beat' this game. Just press absolutely nothing, and you are guaranteed to, the very least, finish it. Just don't ask about some of the questionable content, in particular the 'ending'.
GG Portrait Pai Chai would be released late into the SEGA Game Gear lifespan under the SEGA 'Kid's Gear' brand. These games were marketed to a younger audience, with colourful graphics and simplistic... 'gameplay'. Many of these games would never be released outside of Japan, and the SEGA Game Gear would be discontinued worldwide in 1997.
