Arabian Magic [Arcade Longplay] - SEGA Kidd
Developer: Taito
Year Released: 1992
Player Used: Prince Lassid
A scrolling beat-em-up for one to four players, set in the mythical world of The Arabian Nights. A long time ago, an evil wizard has taken over the peaceful kingdom of Shahariyard and used sorcery to transform its king into a Monkey. The player must defeat each of the game's seven Guardians to reclaim the 'Jewel of Seven Colours' and release the king from the evil hex.
SEGA Kidd Notes: This is one of my favorite beat 'em ups! The graphics are bright and colorful and the levels are both creative and fun to play through. For me it's one of the least repetitive games of it's genre, containing a very diverse array of baddies and other obstacles. There are some pretty cool boss fights too, although the last boss kicks my ass every time...bastard.
Favorite Part of the Game: Fighting that giant bird while on my flying carpet.
