Videogames have excelled over the years at telling impressive, ever-expanding narratives that keep gamers occupied for days (or even weeks at a time). There was a time when videogames were considered a niche item, something only a specific sect of the population would play and enjoy, but now they’re enjoyed by everyone. Whether you grew up playing Nintendo, PlayStation, or Xbox, it’s hard to deny that each individual company offers up their own specialty spin on the platform. Nintendo is generally aimed towards children, but that doesn’t mean their games aren’t enjoyed by older folks as well.
PlayStation seems to be pretty obsessed with narrative and single-player experiences, where Xbox goes all in on their Live platform, and gory or adult games like Halo or Gears of War. And videogames aren’t cheap, so often enough people have to make a decision to choose where their preferences align, which makes it difficult to play all of the great games that come out yearly. But this quiz is going to focus on games from each company, both classic and modern masterpieces, so you’re going to have to be well versed with a large range of games.
