Assassin's Creed Mirage is an action adventure game developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft. It will be the thirteenth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series and the successor to 2020's Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Principally set in 9th-century Baghdad during the anarchy at Samarra, decades before the events of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the game will follow Basim Ibn Ishaq (a character first introduced in Valhalla) and his transition from street thief to fully fledged member of the Assassin Brotherhood, a Hidden One under the tutelage of his mentor Roshan, who fight for peace and liberty, against the Templar Order, who desire peace through control.
The game has been described as a return to the series' roots, with a bigger focus on linear storytelling and stealth gameplay than more recent installments.
Baghdad will be the sole city in Mirage. It will be split into five different areas, that the players will be able to visit freely from an early point in the game:
1. Karkh: The industrial part of the city, which includes the bazaar.
2. The Round City: The core of Baghdad and the richest area in the city. This part includes the grand palace of the reigning Caliphate.
3. Science District: Includes universities and libraries, like the so-called House of Wisdom.
4. Trade District: A part of town, that is focused on trade and commerce.
5. Military District: The military controls this part of Baghdad.
Assassins creed - Mirage was released worldwide for Amazon Luna, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S.
