Assassin's Creed Mirage - Cinematic Ending (review of game in description)
the ending of the game.
well, to be honest, I grew pretty tired of mirage towards the end and cant wait to finish it so i can be done with it and play other games.
There were new contracts that kept popping up even after I thought I have cleared them all, the camera angles can get really annoying and disrupting at times especially when you are climbing and hiding, and the main storyline is abit too heavy/dramatic and parts of it got too lengthy it killed my attention span and I went to do something else in between - and so I got a bit lost and there is no way to get back what has been shared.
There were also glitches or unclear directions on what needs to be done that appeared like glitches. i absolutely hate it when I have to redo an entire mission when I get killed or discovered with no option of a last saved checkpoint. Using a mount/horse defeats the purpose as it is slower than Basim running and following the road and it also makes things worse as the mount will end up entering restricted facility. I also dont like the fact that we have to get schematics from gear chests before upgrading an outfit or weapon - something that was not made clear at the start.
Mirage started really great with really rich storyline and visuals and I was excited to start this one. but for some reason it didnt follow the gameplay of previous successful AC games that we are used to. There are also no mentions of Animus throughout so it makes it confusing why we needed to synchcronise or end up desync if we do something offscript (like accidentally killing civilians). The game assumes a similar design of an Animus but it is unclear.
Overall, I dont know why Mirage tried to be different in terms of gameplay, and this is something I am not keen on though the idea of 9th century Baghdad was a really great idea.
Needless to say, I got a little disappointed (gameplay wise). but glad I finished it and I can go ahead and move on with life and play other games.
