Bayonetta 3 OST - Cheshire Inspired / Cheshire the Wanderer
Spoilers: Bayonetta 3 is a bloody good game. Not sure why (ZL) some hardcore fans (ZL) are so (ZL) upset (ZL) by (ZL) the (ZL) combat. Can't hear the haters over my Astral Chain Sync Attacks™*.
I've played up until the end of Chapter 9, and Cheshire the Wanderer is honestly one of my favourite tracks in the game so far. It fits perfectly as Cheshire runs majestically through the desert. I probably put too much effort into this, but I really didn't want to have the cutscene lead into a static image or the Jukebox menu.
I've been really impressed with the game so far. The combat's really fun, but then again, I do prefer the feel of AC and Transformers over Bayonetta 1. But to be fair, my Bayo credentials aren't exactly amazing. I've played the first three levels of the first game, and haven't booted up 2 even though I've owned both since early 2015 on the WiiU.
I'm loving all the weapons so far. Alruna is definitely my favourite, and the two from the later desert areas are both up there. Colour My World is still fantastic. And Viola is really fun. Love the dynamic of legally distinct Revengeance combos, fisticuffs and Cheshire's, well, Cheshire-ness. I'm positive some of Raiden and Sam's moves are in that movelist. Just need to get the parry timing down.
And honestly, the game looks fine. Any funkiness with the video is due to YouTube compression. Kind of feel some of the complaints about the framerate are a bit overblown. Maybe there'll be a particularly bad spot later, but it's held up really well so far and looks good on my monitor (just to be crystal clear, I am playing this on a launch day Switch that has received no mods or upgrades). Then again, I was cool with Astral Chain running at 30.
Was very surprised to see one of the bosses in Chapter 8 use some of Soundwave's attacks from Devastation. And if they're not actually from there, they look very visually similar.
Normally I'd include a download link, but I dare not provoke the ire of the ninjas, if you catch my drift.
*And yes, Sync Attacks are technically originally from Transformers: Devastation. Unless Korra had them. Can't remember if that's possibly the case.
