My no-death playthrough of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link for NES. I got this game as a kid when it was first released, and although I was disappointed it had different gameplay than the original I still really enjoyed playing it. I had definitely beaten it back then but never without dying or using a ton of continues.

I had to practice this one a lot in order to figure out how to get through the many challenging sections on which I would frequently die. My strategy eventually became to power up my attack power as much as possible as early as possible, neglecting the magic and health. Then spend a little time at the maze island palace entrance powering those up.

This isn't a guide, walkthrough, or tutorial, it's just me playing through the game as best I can. What do you think of the game? Do you have any play tips, childhood memories, or interesting stories to share?
