There a friend of his, Lucca, is showing off her best work of all time; Super Dimension Warp.
An accident occurs involving the warp machine and it turns out to be a time machine. A girl named Marle is sucked into the time machine and thrown into the past. Crono feels obligated to help, unknown that the rescue will drags him to a further journey than just to save the girl.
