64Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a gothic horror action metroidvania title released by ArtPlay during the Summer of 2019, and available for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Amazon Luna as well as the now discontinued Google Stadia. A spiritual successor to the Castlevania games, Bloodstained was produced by Koji Igarashi, otherwise known as IGA, the man considered by many to have played a definitive role in the success of the Castlevania series back during his Konami days, having worked on many titles of the franchise, including the critically acclaimed Symphony of the Night.
In Bloodstained you take on the role of Miriam, a Shardbinder that awakens after 10 years of unnatural sleep to find the world under attack by demonic forces that were summoned by an old friend of hers. Capable of commanding demonic shards that she can infuse in her body to give her immense power, Miriam embarks on a quest to stop the invasion and save her friend's soul.
