Pretty disappointing to see how graceless the author and his fanbase are handling a book review. He approached me, asking me to read his book, saying I would like it. It is literally the opposite of everything I enjoy in books. Continual "you misinterpreted" is an attempt to control the conversation about the book, not have a discussion on the contents of it.
Meanwhile, I was told by the author and by various people in the comments not to judge this book's morals because they are alien and different from us. If you go to Amazon, you can see other reviews that say the same thing. Comments by fans who say this was never said are attempting to gaslight and do damage control. It's not really a good look for the author to say one thing in public, another in private, and for his fanbase to flood the comments in an attempt to discredit my opinion because you don't like it.
