In Digimon World it is possible for your Digimon to become sick for a number of different reasons. If your Digimon is sick and the sickness doesn't get treated then it will lose a life after a certain amount of time has elapsed. When your Digimon is sick its happiness and discipline can be affected. Your Digimon also won't perform so well in battles; your attacks do less damage and cost more MP. Your Digimon sustains more damage from attacks that are used against it, and it's impossible for your Digimon to block attacks while sick. Although the inability to block attacks applies to the opposing Digimon too; none of you will be able to block any attacks.

When your Digimon is sick it will get closer to losing a life every time an hour passes. You will become closer to dying from sickness if:
The clock strikes a new hour (even if it happens during a battle.)
You train your Digimon.
You rest your Digimon.
You let your Digimon sleep.

Your happiness and discipline will also decrease when the clock strikes a new hour (outside of battle) if your Digimon is sick at the time. However, there is a solution that will help with this and will also prevent the sickness from killing your Digimon. If you produce an animation while the clock strikes a new hour then your Digimon won't be any closer to dying from the sickness, nor will its happiness/discipline be affected. The easiest way to produce an amination is by praising your Digimon, scolding your Digimon, feeding your Digimon, or offering your Digimon an item of some sort. If you do any of these things while the clock strikes a new hour then you won't be any closer to dying from sickness. You have to remember though that training/resting will put you closer to dying each time. Also, if you let your Digimon sleep and it sleeps until it's been long enough for it to die from sickness then your Digimon will lose a life on the next hour after waking up. This cannot be prevented unless you treat the sickness; producing an amination when entering the hour won't save you.

I came up with the idea of doing this challenge; a challenge where I have to complete the game with my Digimon always being sick. I'm not allowed to move unless my Digimon is sick. If my Digimon's sickness gets cured then I have to make it sick again and can't move until the sickness is back. This challenge will greatly limit the amount of training, resting and sleeping that I am able to do. Not to mention that I will need to produce animations when the clock is about to reach a new hour. I will also struggle with battles more than usual since my Digimon will sustain more damage, inflict less damage, consume more MP and be incapable of blocking attacks.

I began the challenge with Agumon and remained on the spot until he became sick; likely due to me not feeding him and/or not letting him sleep. I then used the mentioned tactics from the start and throughout. With Agumon I managed to earn 6 Prosperity Points. I made sure that I collected a fair number of Mouldy Meats from the Amida Forest when recruiting Centarumon. I did this so that I'd have the ability to make my Digimon sick again if the sickness was to get cured. I did have to speak to Centarumon at the Clinic in order for Unimon to show up at Mt Panorama. This resulted in Centarumon treating my sickness, but I resolved this by making Agumon sick again by giving him one of my Mouldy Meats. Soon afterwards Agumon Digivolved to Meramon. The Digivolution reversed the sickness, and so I had to give Meramon a Mouldy Meat straight after he Digivolved.

With Meramon I went from 6 Prosperity Points to 83 Prosperity Points. Frigimon naturally rescued us during our journey through Freezeland. This cured Meramon's sickness and I had to immediately give him a Mouldy Meat to make him sick again. I defeated the Otamamon at the Geko Swamp, granting myself access to the Volume Villa and purchasing the Amazing Rod. At one stage tiredness was a big problem for Meramon so I let him sleep, and then cured his sickness (to stop him from losing a life) and then made him sick again with a Mouldy Meat.

I let Meramon Digivolve to Vademon by giving him a Ray Gun that I obtained from the Back Dimension. This cured my Digimon's sickness, and I therefore had to give Vademon a Mouldy Meat. Thanks to the Kabuterimon in Beetle Land, Vademon was able to have Bug as a technique. With Vademon I went from 83 Prosperity Points 96 Prosperity Points. I then let Vademon fade away, with just Monzaemon and Nanimon left to recruit.

I chose the green egg and Digivolved from Botamon to Koromon to Agumon to Numemon. I had to give a Mouldy Meat to each of those Digimon in order to keep to the rules of this challenge. I then took Numemon to Toy Town and Digivolved to Monzaemon, who I also had to give a Moudy Meat to. By speaking to the Robot Digimon I had access to WaruMonzaemon. By defeating WaruMonzaemon I was able to recruit Monzaemon and Nanimon, bringing myself up to 100 Prosperity Points.
