While it's been done by quite a few different brands at this point, none have had the impact on Nike's carbon fiber soleplates! Last seen on the 2014 Mercurial Superfly 4, so many people were disappointed when Nike eliminated this tech from their boots. Adidas recently went through a similar change with their "speed" boots.
