This is what you need to patch. It leaves a copy of the original game file and makes a copy with a name of your choosing with the patch applied.

HOW TO PATCH!!!
Okay so you'll need the file of the game for starters.Then you want to download FLIPS ((It's linked above))
Once you install FLIPS, the icon for the file you got with the patch should change to that of FLIPS, so open it.
When you open it it'll ask you what file you want to patch. Just click on your file of CV2: Simon's Quest and give it a name to separate it from the original game.
(I just put patched at the end, usually.)
Load up your patched game in your emulator of choice and if you did it right you should be good!
Have fun, hopefully the game clicks with you like it does for me! If not, I'm sure we'll agree on a game later on in the list being good eventually.
