5What can be said about Belmonts Revenge that hasnt been said by now? The game was universally praised a lot for being not only a step up from the earlier CV The Adventure, which I can say, wasnt ALL Konamis fault for their first attempt at a CV portable experience.
Awesome graphics and very smooth, inmaculate control, a GOOD ost (I do prefer some tunes from Legends and Adventure to this in overall, but it has its own bangers as well) and we got many QOL upgrades. Passwords, faster rope sliding, attack from ropes and Sub Weapons (Albeit Holy Water sucks a bit here).
The "Castle Select" at the begginning is GREAT imo, and worked wonders in setting up for the bigger Dracula´s Castle later in game, so the game can feel different each time you start it and what combination you follow up later.
Having Solieyu Belmont as a boss was great as well, also, a HARD boss fight too, but not as hard imo as the final Dracula FIght, which, do not has a 2nd form, but what he does is ENOUGH if you dont know the patterns. The rest of the game and bosses are relatively easy (and fair?), save the last 2 stages and the Bone Dragon boss imo.
I love BR, and replay it whenever I can.
Again this is not a speedrun and you will catch a couple savestates (non intrusive and barely noticeably) just before the Solieyu and Dracula fight (They both kicked my arse and I had to remember they patterns the HARD way) so, its a deathless run video, with the deaths edited out lol
