Castlevania II NES Full Playthrough (Good Ending, No Continues)
0My least favorite Castlevania game. It's in a weird spot somewhere in between something like classic Castlevania gameplay and the Metroid style gameplay. There are tons of places where you can be instantly killed in a cheap way. Grinding for Hearts is also just not fun. This game is really hard to figure out, but once you know what to do, it's easy. I recommend the hack called Simon's Redaction in order to have better translated and quicker dialogue boxes: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/868/
I did a practice playthrough beforehand and made a list of notes on exactly what to do in the game and in what order. If there comes a point where I pause the game for a while, I'm probably checking my notes.
