The third instalment in the Castlevania series, Dracula’s Curse, was released in Japan in 1989, in North America in 1990 and in 1992 in Europe. The game is a prequel, taking place a few centuries before the events of the first game.
After Simon’s Quest shook things up, Dracula’s Curse takes things back to form and plays very much the same as the first instalment, now with some added mechanics to improve the overall experience.
