Surviving the Aftermath Trophy / Achievement Guide Played on PlayStation 5.

Catastrofan (BRONZE) Trophy
Survive through 5 Catastrophes on a single playthrough

Catastrophes are random events that will be heralded with a paused timer and a screen popup telling you what is coming.

These are the various types of catastrophes you can find in the game:
Heat Wave (moderate) Lasts 1-2 days.
Doubles water usage by colonists, will wither crops in non-irrigated open fields, increases hygiene need.

Magnetic Storm (minimal) Lasts about a day.
Shuts down energy producing buildings, can damage buildings that require energy

Meteor Shower (minimal) Lasts less than a day.
Large meteors will "randomly" fall on the colony map (i.e. they will make a bullseye for your most heavily built up areas while ignoring everywhere else. Damaged buildings will require repair.

Nuclear Fallout (moderate) Lasts about a day
Crops in open fields will wither. Unable to harvest water from water collectors or pipes (wells will still work). Colonists have a highly increased chance of contract radiation sickness.

Pandemic (moderate to high) Lasts about a day but after effects can last several.
About 66 - 75% of the colonist population will become sick and require medical attention. Having stocks of medicine and antibiotics will help keep excess deaths to a minimum.

Winter Storm (Very high) Lasts a minimum of 4 days. Can last for up to 6.
Winter Storms are the worst catastrophe to deal with due to multiple elements going on at once
Unable to grow crops, except in greenhouses, all buildings (especially living quarters) need to be heated (or colonists will go hypothermic), disease will be more common. Water collectors and fishing piers will not function unless heated.

Winter Storms are the worst due to their length and the fact it impacts colonist health, water supplies and food supplies.
They also appear to be the most common of the catastrophes.
Having a good stock of food, water, and firewood will go a long way to keeping colonists alive.
