Last time, the party ends up entering a pathway leading towards the Frost giant arena. Crowds of Frost giants, including the Jarl himself, all watch on as combatants face each other to see who is strongest, pitting teams against teams as well as individuals against individuals. The lights go dark as the voice of the Jarl speaks loudly and proudly in the darkness, only for Kayli and Ren to accidentally stumble in on a match between two frost giants about to take place.

With the quick thinking of Bell, rolling out of his portable hole and posing with Jazz hands, the frost giants were entertained just enough to not kill them or capture them on the spot. Ryudo, who foresaw an encounter with the frost giants, learned the language in order to converse with the Jarl directly, earning them a chance at survival, should they fight their way to the top and live.

First fighting the frost giants who were originally going to face each other, the party emerged victorious, showing they together were far more powerful than a pair of your average giants. So then the Jarl sent out a team of monsters, which included his prized pet Goose upon the party. Once again proving victorious and still with all their belongings on hand, they faced the original champions of the arena: A brother and sister duo of Frost Giants that also were the Jarl's children.

After a brutal serious of attacks, the party came out victorious once again, earning the respect of their opponents for not only defeating them, but also sparing them despite the brutality they received, much to the Jarl's happiness.

Still, the team would have to take down the newest team of champions if they are to earn the right to speak to the Jarl personally. As expected, the new champions consisted of Mi'itrik and Dart, but alongside them were two others: A Frost giant who seemed to also be a prisoner like them and could speak common tongue fluently. But there was one more. Attempting (and failing) a surprise attack upon Ren from the ceiling was none other than castar the Great, the arrogant armor-clad man who had been parading around as the hero of Croix and taking the credit of the party's exploits upon himself.

Together, the four of them formed a team strong enough to become the champions... yet they are still prisoners. Now being forced to fight each other, and to do so with plenty of flashy moves and unique abilities in order to entertain the crowd as much as possible as repayment for allowing the team to get a little rest and some resources back, what awaits both parties when the dust settles? Just what is the Jarl truly after, and can the party convince him to let themselves and their friends go free? We find out... tonight.
