Kia ora and welcome back to Sid Meier's Civilization V - today I'm playing as The Dutch, led by William of The Netherlands! The Netherlands have some interesting abilities in civ 5 that place them solidly in the middle of the ranks. Their unique building is a tile improvement - the Polder, which provides food (and later gold and production) on Marsh. Their unique unit is a Privateer, and a powerful one at that! You can also trade away all of your luxuries (including your last copy) and still receive some happiness from them, enabling you to play wide with extra happiness, and it allows you to harness the power of trade even more with the Dutch East India Trading Company!
