Welcome to my video. This video contains clips from Tomb Of Qualopec, Tomb Of Tihocan, Sanctuary Of The Scion and The Great Pyramid; levels from Tomb Raider 1.

Usually you would collect a piece of the scion in Tomb Of Qualopec. This would be followed by you collecting a second piece of the scion in Tomb Of Tihocan and a third piece of the scion in Sanctuary Of The Scion. Then, you end up having the destroy the three pieces in The Great Pyramid.

In Tomb Of Qualopec it's possible for you to collect the scion more than once due to the fact that it respawns if you save and reload. This creates the opportunity for you to collect the scion a total of four times due to there being three savegame crystals in the level. It's easy to initially collect the scion at 5:24 and save+reload at 8:24 and then return for a second piece of the scion at 9:10; you can go straight back there and help yourself to it. This leaves you with two pieces of the scion.

It's less easy to collect the scion 3-4 times because it requires you to be able to reach areas that can become inaccessible when traveling down (or up) the slope during 5:32-5:41, 6:24-6:33 and 6:44-6:53. I believe that there's a part of the slope that you have to jump over or else it will result in doors being closed, stopping you from being able to reach the savegame crystal at 5:56 as well as the one at 7:06. You need to be able to reach these savegame crystals so that you can save+reload in order to recollect the scion the two other times. By standing on the edge of the red marking on the floor at 5:32 and jumping forwards and then repeatedly running+jumping you seem to have a fair chance of the doors remaining open when travelling down the slope. By standing on the edge of the red marking on the floor at 6:24 and jumping forwards and then repeatedly running+jumping you seem to have a fair chance of the doors remaining open when travelling up the slope.

I chose to also tackle the slope this way during 7:36-7:45, 7:56-8:05, 8:58-9:07 and 9:18-9:27 even though I don't think that it was necessary those times; I think that it was only necessary at 5:32-5:41, 6:24-6:33 and 6:44-6:53. However, I wanted to keep both of the doors open the whole time and also wanted to show off the area at 9:48. Obviously, you have to refrain from using any of the savegame crystals until after collecting the scion in order to be able to achieve the best possible outcome of finishing Tomb Of Qualopec with four pieces of the scion.

I show you myself completing Tomb Of Qualopec with four pieces of the scion. You then briefly see me collect the scion in Tomb Of Tihocan and Sanctuary Of The Scion, bringing the totals up to five pieces and six pieces respectively. The inventory did specifically display four pieces at the end of Tomb Of Qualopec, five at the end of Tomb Of Tihocan and six at the end of Sanctuary Of The Scion.

The game is programmed so that there are three pieces of the scion in The Great Pyramid; that's how many there should be. When you destroy the scion in The Great Pyramid you destroy all three of the pieces at once. Something that The Great Pyramid has in common with Tomb Of Qualopec is the ability for the scion to respawn. In The Great Pyramid the scion will respawn if you destroy it from the platform at 14:38 and then save+reload.

There are two accessible savegame crystals under these circumstances. Instead of destroying the scions at 14:19 I jumped down onto the platform (14:38) and destroyed the scions by shooting them from there. I saved+reloaded at 15:08, returned to the scions (16:34) and jumped back onto the platform (same as 14:38) where I destroyed the scions for a second time; 16:55. By returning to the scions I was able to save+reload at 18:47 and destroy the scions for a third and final time.

I also showed you a visual glitch where destroying the scions from the platform at 16:55 and returning to the scions (without saving or reloading) results in there being continuous explosions from where the scions got destroyed; I showed you this during 18:18-18:38 and 18:49-18:59. The explosions stopped after I reloaded though.

Nothing in this video is new; it's all been known for many years. I just wanted to do a video of myself collecting the scion six times and destroying three pieces of the scion three times, totalling to the destruction of nine pieces of the scion. Unless you take the view that there were six pieces of the scion in The great Pyramid (since I collected six pieces) and in which case eighteen pieces of the scion got destroyed; six multiplied by three is eighteen.
