In a public address, Hitler vowed that the German army would never abandon Stalingrad. However, dwindling supplies and the approaching winter placed a heavy burden on the German forces in the city. With intelligence on the Wehrmacht's weakening support, the Red Army might have cleared the city by breaking German supply lines. To that end, Isakovich and a single recon squad pushed into enemy territory to search for German maps and documents revealing Wehrmacht positions and supply routes. The risks were great, but Isakovich foresaw greater rewards - a battle won decisively, and Soviet lives spared.

This series is just a straight up play through of the 2013 game, Company of Heroes 2, including the expansion packs. This episode is the fifth mission of the main campaign, Stalingrad.
