Crackdown 3 Unpatched (Beta) Version Full Game Playthrough
9This is a playthrough of the version of Crackdown 3 installed straight off the disc without any updates at all. This version of the game has tons of extremely major changes compared to even the day one version of the game, like most of the cutscenes being entirely different and even some of the voice lines being changed. The lighting is also very different (especially at night) and the time of day cycles way slower.
I don't know exactly how far before release this version was created but I theorize that it might have been made right before the decision to delay the game for it's final time (About 8 months before release, maybe more). The differences are so major compared to the day one version that I have a hard time believing they were all done in the usual 2-3 months it usually takes between the disc build being compiled and the day one patch that most other games take.
Surprisingly enough this version of the game isn't really all that buggy, it's just very different, and it it was compiled before it's final delay that makes me wonder why it even got delayed in the first place since the differences don't really improve the game at all, they just make it different.
