FINALLY! I got around to doing my own Smiling Critters AU! UGH! It took long bcuz I was lazy!
Been seeing people make Smiling Critters AUs so I made my own and did my best to make em lean more into being original characters despite I might need to change em in the future (Might give em alt eyes so they can be more OC-like) Anyways! Here's the info:
THE CRITTER CREW:
NightTimeCat: A pretty chill dude for the most part. He is second-in-command of the Critter Crew and usually patrols the night time of Crittersville for any danger before going home to sleep. Despite being chill and calm. Best not let that fool you. He's the town gossip, intelligent, aware and WILL mess with you if you mess with him. He's also protective of DayDream. Upset the Sunshine and you best hope you can sleep with one eye open at night.
DayDreamDog: Despite being the leader of the Crew, the crew are usually the ones to WATCH him. He's hyperactive and leans quite a lot on his doggy dog nature. This pooch will talk your ears off for hours but he has his moments of being responsible. He's hardly ever seen without Nighty. Please DO NOT tell him ANY secrets, he is physically INCAPABLE of LYING and EVERYONE KNOWS IT! The crew sometimes joke if they'd ever get kidnapped, they'd be screwed cuz DayDream can't keep his mouth shut.
Kikiri Rooster: He use to be Dream's bully when he first got to Crittersville due to being insecure at the time. Tho after a hard lesson from Nighty, he became one of the Critter Crew as a friend. He's Filipino and speaks English and Tagalog well. He masks insecurities by being cool.
SmartyPhant: Prefers to be in his lab reading books, doing research, studying, ect. He is the town intellect (Nerrrrd!) His personality is similar to that of Rise TMNT Donnie. Sarcastic know-it-all, but only a TINY BIT crazy. (Sometimes he uses poor DreamDay as a test subject cuz he's the only one to agree so easily.)
HipHop: They are gender ambiguous and go by ANY pronouns. HipHop is one radical rabbit and you'd enjoy a jam session with them. They love music especially if listening to it feels like being sent to a world of whimsy. Their voice always has a robotic autotune and they always use hip lingo like "Radical" and "Groovy." Don't ask about their eyes, they'll always make up an excuse about it. They are also a great break dancer.
Penny P. Baker: She owns a bakery in town and loves baking cakes and pastries for all the critters, including the crew. She is as sweet as her baking. Though if you disrespect her and her baking skills, she WILL lose it. (She can also be a drama queen at times)
Balentine B. Bear: They are non-binary and go by They/Them. Balentine is best described as a lil casanova with knowledge on romance, talks about love, unintentionally comes off as flirty, and loves Valentines Day the MOST! (Its in the name lol) They always try their best to look good for the day and will eagerly give dating tips if asked.
CrystalCraftCorn: A literal sweetheart, creative and inspirational, and always uses "darling" in an affectionate and kind way. (Basically a mix of Fluttershy and Rarity a tiny bit) she and Smarty have a sibling relationship.
Crittersville: A colorful town surrounded by forest, hidden from the dangers that lurk within. The Critter Crew protect this town from the evil that is Shadow Claw whom wants to steal and turn Critters into Shadow Minions.
This AU has more of a Saturday Morning Cartoon feel where the Crew save the day from evil while going on their own crazy adventures.
