Crochet & Chat - Mental Health Blanket and Mosasaurus Progress - Jan 7, 2024
12Hey, loves!!! Lyrical here with another Crochet & Chat calm stream Sunday! Today we are going to be working on our mental health blanket as well as a special project for my darling wife, Pixel Gamer Girl aka Heather.
For the mental health blanket, I am using Premier Basix yarn in rose, taupe, fern, violet, storm, apricot, teal and black for the borders. I am also using a 5mm hook and using the moss stitch/linen stitch for this project. A mental health blanket is the same idea as the temperature blankets. You take one colour to represent a specific mood while keeping track of how you are feeling every day. This begins on January 1 and ends December 31. So far I am having a blast with this project and couldn't wait to get started!
The second project we are working on today is a mosasaurus stuffy for my wife. She has been asking me to make her a stuffy for a while and now I have an opportunity to do it. She requested a big stuffy so I have gone with using Bernat Blanket Extra yarn in teal variegated. I am also using an 8mm hook and following a pattern by Starbird Creations.
