Treetop Trouble is a Run 'n Gun level in Inkwell Isle One with the player going up and down a tree. It is the second Run 'n Gun level in the game and is arguably more complex than Forest Follies, the other platforming level in this world.

Cuphead is a classic run-and-gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand-drawn cel animation, watercolour backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.
