Look, I know why you're here. You saw some Youtube video claiming that the OG Dark Souls II is a solid game that was ruined by SOTFS. While yes, this edition is a bit less obnoxious than Scholar, it still suffers from the janky gameplay that is DS II. It's not a completely different experience by any means.

I "like" DS2, generally speaking. There is fun to be had, even if it's not a great souls game. However, I'm not going to recommend this edition just because it's so expensive. It feels like something you should have access to if you've already purchased Scholar.
