Boss Guide: How to beat Archon
Out the outset of the fight, keep your distance, waiting for Archon to attack. After dodging IMMEDIATELY use Deathgrip to close the gap and get in some damage. If Archon doesn't seem phased by your initial attack, or seems to regain himself after the onslaught (often represented by holding his staff again), back off and continue dodging. If he takes to the air, put considerable distance between you both to dodge the waves of corruption, and look for a potential deathgrip icon which will let you dodge his ground pound by getting in some airbourne damage.
After a good amount of damage, you'll be able to rip off Archon's wings. While he's on the ground, employ more fierce dodging, again, going in with Deathgrip for close quarter melee right after one of his attacks misses. He'll soon regen his wings, so wait for Archon to use his flying charge which is easily sidestepped, then turn and deliver the finishing blows.
Keep it up and you'll soon have the much needed Angel Key!
