DEAD ISLAND 2 begins with survivors making their way to the evacuation plane in order to escape LA. After being shot down in an attempt to maintain quarantine, survivors of the crash attempt to find safe haven. Amongst the survivor is Emma Jaunt, a big movie star with a well stocked and fortified home. After covering the escape of Emma Jaunt and others, Jacob is bitten but manages to make his way through the newly dubbed HELL-A to Emma's residence. After surviving the bite, Jacob is found to be immune to the zombie disease and attempts to contact health officials to see if they can make a cure or vaccine with his blood.
DEAD ISLAND 2 is a 1st person action adventure game.
