Author J. P. Edgar plays games he HAS played before. This time, it's "Dead Rising" on the PS4, where we attempt to save the lovers once more, and stumble upon Pamala, who wears a shirt that says "69", struggling to get some zombois off her. We pick her up as an additional escort, finally get to the vent just outside the Security Room, and face the dreaded AI boss. Tonya will only go to the vent with Ross, and Ross won't climb the ledge to get to the vent. They just stand there! We waste about two minutes waiting for Ross and Tonya to do a simple pathing action, but they finally climb up, and we complete that escort. Finally!
After accidentally skipping the cut scene, Kent wants to see our pictures. And if that punk didn't run away, I'd have made his insides zombie food.
When we go to stock up on food, we stumble upon Ronald, who wants us to give him food AND for us to escort him. It's a double-negative. First, let's see who Hatchet Man is.
It wouldn't be long to get that answer. PTSD Vietnam veteran tries to hack off our teddy bear head, and the dodge-boss strikes again! Dumb dodge.
We save the coward, then encounter some people in yellow raincoats and a dude in white robes with a sword putting some woman in a crate. They don't like the carebear stare and attack. With our mighty bear paws, we fend them off, save the woman, and get the coward, the hungry man, and the trapped woman to the Security Room.
I'm going to pretend the next part didn't *bleep*ing happen, and we're going to jump straight to getting drugged by cultists, waking up bear "naked" in a crate, and... No, let's just load.
We go "Girl Hunting," battle a motorcycle, and see a ridiculous cutscene that makes the bear helm so, so worth it. We ROFLStomp the police chick, Jo, and free the trapped ladies, save the two clinging on to a giant blown-up animal, and partake in the largest escort mission we've had to date. The good news is, we're near the bathroom. And they don't totally piss me off. Granted, we spent more time than we should have just outside the Security Room entry vent, but smooth-brain AI eventually climbed that ledge (half the time as Ross and Tonya, who couldn't solve the ledge puzzle for the life of them) and we go to the vent to finish the mission. Or we try to. Move it! Get out of my way!
