(English below) El mes pasado fue publicado el código fuente de Descent 3 (1999), y ya hay algún trabajo hecho por fans, como este Piccu Engine, una versión del juego centrado en mejoras de calidad de vida.

Este engine aun es un poco tosco en algunas cosas, por ejemplo, en la sensibilidad del ratón es demasiado incluso al mínimo, y el selector de brillo no funciona, lo que hace que el juego se vea bastante oscuro. Por esa razón, le añadido más brillo al vídeo por edición. También, a 4K los menús ingame se ven demasiado pequeños. Son cosas que supongo que se irán mejorando. Pero quería mostrarlo y darlo a conocer, para mi es genial poder por fin jugar a este juego sin tantos problemas de compatbilidad que me han impedido disfrutarlo durante mucho tiempo.

Last month the source code for Descent 3 (1999) was released, and there is already some work done by fans, like this Piccu Engine, a version of the game focused on quality of life improvements.

This engine is still a bit rough around the edges in some things, for example, the mouse sensitivity is too much even at minimum, and the brightness selector don't work, which makes the game look quite dark. For that reason, I added more brightness to the video by editing. Also, at 4K the ingame menus look too small. These are things that I guess will be improved. But I wanted to show it and make it known, for me it's great to finally play this game without so many compatibility problems that have prevented me from enjoying it for a long time.
