Digimon Adventure (PSP, English Sub): Part 32: Episode 17

While organizing my videos, I had actually deleted this one's file by accident, and I had already deleted the raw video file it was based on. So I couldn't immediately render a new one.
So I had to go through the extra effort of starting this entire game over again in a different save file to quickly reach back up to this point and record this Main Episode again. Keep this in mind should you notice the discrepancies in my Digimon's levels, EXP and DigiPiece setups between this part and the parts before and after this.

Tai was still depressed from his episode of forcing his Digimon into a higher Digivolution, leading to him into becoming SkullGreymon and wreaking havoc.
Following this incident, Tai's Digimon was reduced to a Koromon that couldn't Digivolve anymore than that, leaving Tai awfully ashamed for his own mistake. His friends wanted him not to stay stuck in his regret too much...
Suddenly, Gennai called to the Chosen Children again. It turned out he was aware of that SkullGreymon incident and wanted to give them some advice on their adventure.
First, their Tags and Crests are drawn to each other. Thanks to those Tags, the kids will eventually find those Crest even if they don't try to. Or want to.
Second, once they have their Crests, they must know how to raise their Digimon properly in order to activate their powers and Digivolve them properly. Not raising their Digimon right can and will lead to more incidents like the SkullGreymon one.
Before Gennai could explain what raising their Digimon properly precisely meant, his hologram shut down, again. It looked like this was something the DigiDestined had to figure out for themselves, with the little confidence they had about it...

The team was suddenly met with a massive luxury line in the middle of the desert.
Mimi had noticed that some Numemon were driving the ship. So she decided to use her girly talents to convince them to let her and her friends board their ship.
Everyone was treated inside of of a luxury bedroom, leading into a gathering where you can raise Mimi's Bonding Rank with Sora, T.K., Matt and Izzy (basically all of the other kids you immediately see in the room with her).

Afterwards, all of the boys went over to the dining room to snack on all of the food that was in it. Unfortunately, this was a setup by the Numemon.
When Koromon felt cornered, but also saw Tai under attack, it finally gave him the willpower to Digivolve back into Agumon. His spirit had returned to protect his human partner!
But then things got worse when all of the boys got cornered by the captain of the luxury line and its Numemons' leader: Cockatrimon (Kokatorimon)!

While all of this was happening, the girls had just returned from their showers and noticed that all of the boys were gone. They, too, were then attacked by some Numemon.
After beating those slimes senseless, Mimi & Sora decided to look for everyone else with their Digimon, as they now felt that something bad happened to them.

In this particular Episode, you get to use certain doors in the hallway to enter into certain rooms for goodies and more Numemon encounters.
You check out the dining room to confirm that the boys have indeed gotten captured. So you go rescue them.
You eventually run into a locked door, so you have to search more rooms for a key to unlock it.
When you do unlock that door, you have the opportunity to raise Mimi & Sora's Bonding Rank with each other.

This locked door led the girls outside, where they are encountered by Kokatorimon. He's left the boys outside to be sun-dried to death, and he's taken their Tags, too!
Unleash Girl Power upon this giant chicken Digimon to get them back. When he's beaten, Togemon sends him flying miles out with a Coconuts Punch!
All of the boys of the team were then freed and regained their Tags, but things weren't quite done, yet.
The luxury liner was running up to a gigantic cactus, the biggest cactus in the desert. From that cactus lied Mimi's Crest.
(This game somehow made her Crest look just like Tai's in this cutscene for some reason. Whoops...)
Following that, the Chosen Children gained 3 of their Crests. It was now time to find the remaining 4! In the meantime, Mimi had to worry if she could even raise Palmon properly with her own Crest...
