Call of duty Modern Warfare 3 was released on November 10th, 2023. It's been over a week since launch. Is it worth picking up, or should you pass? In this video we will take a look at the campaign, multiplayer, and zombie mode. And as always, we will start off with the UI Menu. My goodness, am I watching netflix or am I playing a game. This has to be one of if not the worst UI menus ive ever seen. Call of Duty is trying this whole new CoD HQ gimmick, but at the end of the day, CoD HQ is the MW2 (2022) Launcher that was switched into this Cod HQ. I don't understand how Call of Duty went from a simple yet effective Black ops 2 UI menu to this. I feel like I'm searching for a movie instead of playing a game. I'm very disappointed that Mw3 didn’t change the UI menu to something simple and they kept this confusing mess. With that said, How does the campaign hold up.

I am a big fan of Call of Dutys campaigns. It's like I'm playing a Michael Bay movie. Typically, Call of Duty Campaigns are anywhere between 6-9 hours long. However, and spoilers ahead I completed this Campaign in 3 hours and 40 minutes. Keep in mind, I had to pause it a few times to go do some things. So I could have beaten it alot sooner. This is by far the worst CoD Campaign i have ever played. And that is disappointing because after the MW2 (2022) campaign, I was really looking forward to the MW3 campaign. In this story, you had what's called Open combat missions which is just DMZ. If I wanted to play DMZ I would have booted up MW2. Out of the 15 Missions, I only enjoyed 2 of them. Which is the opening mission, and the verdansk mission. Other than that I was completely bored out of my mind. And to go back to the Open missions for a second, please explain this clip you are about to see and how in the world does it makes sense. If you were planning to buy MW3 for the story, just don't bother. This was clearly meant to be an add on for MW2 (2022) and not its stand alone story.

Moving on to the Zombies mode. I really enjoy the round based zombie modes. Such as in Black ops 1, 2 , and in World at war. But this is just Outbreak from Cold War. It's nothing we haven't already seen before. I've never been the biggest fan of Outbreak so some of you may agree or disagree with what I'm about to say and that's okay. I just feel like this type of open zombie mode is too boring for my taste. I just want a traditional zombie mode with new maps. And on top of that, in this zombie map there's a time limit. What happened to staying up late at night with your buddies and trying to see how long you guys could survive. You can’t do that anymore. Lastly, in this zombie mode, why do I have NPC shooting at me? Im playing zombies to kill zombies, not bots. After playing a few games of Zombies I just had enough and left.

Lastly, we have the multiplayer. This game launched with 16 multiplayer maps. You heard that right, 16 maps. However, all of the maps are just remakes of MW2 (2009) Maps. Don’t get me wrong, they are great maps to play on but you don’t get a single new map included. On top of that, If this game did not carry forward any MW2 (2022) guns, this game would have a total of 36 guns. And out of those 36 guns, you could only use 20 of them because the other 16 weapons are locked behind daily challenges. To put that into perspective, MW2 (2009) had 16 new maps at launch and had a total of 43 guns you could unlock just by leveling up. Why are certain perks, guns, equipment, killstreaks, locked behind daily challenges. Most people don't have the time to sit down for hours on end to unlock everything. On top of that, Skill based matchmaking is back and stronger than ever. I feel like if I have a great game, i'm going to be punished for it. The gunplay in this game is great as always, and being able to replay my childhood maps and seeing them remastered brings back memories. But with that said, I give Call of Duty Modern warfare 3 a score of 40 out of 100. This game does not feel complete. If Call of duty marketed this game as a DLC expansion for MW2 and charged $40 for it, That would be a different story. However, they are claiming this is a brand new call of duty game and charging $70 to $100 for it. I'm going to quote David Swenson (Sledgehammer games creative director), “Modern Warfare 3 this year is the complete package” end quote. Sorry David, it's not. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching, im FGB and i'm out.
