The long trek has finally ended! I have now concluded the entirety of the Drakan series. And it was NOT worth it.

There is some clever stuff in this game. The puzzles in the flesh mage's dungeon were well done. I had no major issues fighting through the areas left in the game to get the potion, to get the flesh mage. But the final boss was utter trash. And the ending was told to us via a book, rather than shown to the players. AGAIN. On top of that, the cliff hanger that ended the first game was NEVER addressed in this game. That story line was completely dropped.

No, I don't recommend this game. At all. There's some good ideas here, but the overall design is just so incompetent that I can't give it a pass. The control scheme is awful, the combat is bad, the story was eye-rolling, and there was absolutely no care taken for balance. There's far too many reasons not to like this game than there are to like, even with the rare ability to ride on your own powerful dragon. I want to love this game. I still want to see a third one, that takes place during the dark war, done by a team that's competent.
