DTysonator & WizWar100 vs. Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones 2P (NES)
DTysonator (1P-Bimmy [supposed to be Billy]/Chin) & WizWar100 (2P-Jimmy/Ranzou) beating Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones for the NES for their first time ever as a team, without dying! This was also the 1st time that WizWar100 ever beat this game.
Played on October 21, 2014 at A & C World in Toronto, ON Canada, using an original NES console with regular controllers and no cheating whatsoever.
WizWar100 came up with some great strategies on the spot during this run, such as resetting the special Double Cyclone kick attack, by either moving up or down following the special move and then getting back into position for another.
This technique is best demonstrated during Mission 3 Japan at 7:11, where we managed a Flawless Victory against the many ninjas! Pun intended ;).
Also, during the final level, WizWar100 once again came up with a solid strategy on the fly, by exploiting the utter stupidity of the Mummies.
This strategy can clearly be seen here at 23:51 and works wonders during a 2P run! One player must use the ninja known as Ranzou and abuse his powerful leg drop move, while the other player is positioned directly behind him. The Mummies will NEVER strike fear in our hearts again!
Anyway, we're hoping to improve on this co-op run during Games Finished Adequately, which will be taking place at A & C World this coming Sunday (December 21, 2014).
This will be the second marathon of its kind brought to you once again by TorontoTopTiers (the first ever Games Finished Adequately occurred on August 3, 2014), so be sure to check it out LIVE if you can, either in person, in the comfort of your own home, or some other random place, right here:
